Hello everyone!
What we have all been waiting for…
THE RESULTS.
I decided to try and vlog and try to take y’all along with me but there was a lot going on and with my kiddos being there with us it was definitely a lot harder than I anticipated.
STAGE 3 – Intraductal Breast Cancer
β(Invasive Ductal Carcinoma)β
Let’s start off with educating you all a little bit about what exactly this means.
What Is Invasive Ductal Carcinoma?
βThe abnormal cancer cells that began forming in the milk ducts have spread beyond the ducts into other parts of the breast tissue. Invasive cancer cells can also spread to other parts of the body. It is also sometimes called infiltrative ductal carcinoma.
- IDC is the most common type of breast cancer, making up nearly 70- 80% of all breast cancer diagnoses.
So far the action plan is to start chemotherapy within two weeks for one year. My doctor informed me that the cancer I have is advancing quickly and very aggressive. He also mentioned having to get radiation as well as part of my treatment. A masectomy might have to be done as well or just the removal of the tumor depending on how my body responds to the treatment . We also noticed that the cancer had spread into my axillary lymph nodes and want to avoid it spreading any further.
I was advised to take action ASAP but I am looking for another opinion with a doctor that I am happy with and that will be able to answer any/all my questions. Everything has happened very quickly and it’s hard to grasp a hold of all the information I’m being told and try to make a decision so rapidly. I don’t want to make any rational decisions and want to be prayerful about every decision I make.
At the moment I have no insurance so I would have to pay for all of this out of pocket.. Please continue to keep me and my family in your prayers as we continue this journey π
Thank you all so much for your continued support and prayers ππΌ
P.s, if you have any questions/comments please drop them in the comment section below as it’s less overwhelming and that way I don’t have to answer the same questions over and over again.
